Asia- and Middle East-oriented QLTS Training Provider

OSCE mocks delivered to your doorsteps

OSCEsmart is an Asia- and Middle East-oriented QLTS training provider specialising in preparation for QLTS Stage 2 – an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). Among a variety of other QLTS preparation materials, OSCEsmart provides access to online mock client interviews conducted any time from the comfort of your home or office. In an effort to provide excellent customer service and enjoyable learning experience, OSCEsmart offers innovative methodology, segmented approach and individual feedback.

The study resource is designed for both first-time and repeat QLTS candidates to guide their preparation for stage 2 of the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme – an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). As admitted by the founder of the new training provider – Dr Olga Pogrebennyk (qualified solicitor of England and Wales, who passed the exam in November 2016) – OSCE is the most challenging component, with its Part 1 (oral section or Day 1) being ‘the milestone needed to pass the QLTS exam.’ The opinion is widely accepted in the legal field, among lawyers with QLTS experience.

Mock Exams and Video Lectures

The QLTS study materials offered by OSCEsmart rotate around the interactional component of the exam and thus are effective in building the skills of interviewing (optionally followed by handwriting an Attendance Note / Case Analysis), advocacy/oral presentations, legal research, legal drafting and legal writing. The OSCE exercises above can be done in each of the five practice areas included in the exam: in business, civil and criminal litigation, property and probate. The services also extend to providing concise video lectures and highly visualized notes.
The theoretical part consists of 36 video lectures and notes in five practice areas, numerous lectures and practical guidance materials, examples in legal research, client interview, advocacy/presentation and drafting. No matter what package the candidates sign up for, they will be granted access to all OSCEsmart video lectures and lecture notes (in 5 practice areas), as well as all lectures on skills. The benefit of this approach for the customers is undeniable, as it will help to

  • refresh and structure the knowledge they have obtained from textbooks;
  • save time on making notes; and
  • put the right accents and provide logical links.

QLTS OSCE Testimonials

This original methodology of teaching application of substantive law has already proved successful – take it from the people who know best: OSCEsmart recent graduates who used the skills and knowledge provided by the course to go through the assessments under the Qualified Lawyers' Transfer Scheme, November 2017. Watch video testimonials kindly offered among others by Priyasha Corrie and Daud Farooq.
We take great pleasure and pride in our graduates’ success – and they provide ample cause for pride! Our May 2018 OSCE sitters (mostly from UAE, Pakistan, India, Qatar, China, Hong Kong and Singapore) have demonstrated spectacular passing rates:

OSCEsmart May 2018 Results: 84% passed with average passmark 71%

80% Asia (China, Hong Kong and Singapore, India and Pakistan)
88% Middle East (UAE, Qatar).

Reasonable Price

Its narrow focus on the OSCE makes the course not only effective, but also affordable. While other available training providers charge between min £1570 (QLTS Advantage) and max £2390 (QLTS School), OSCEsmart delivers its QLTS study materials for a mere £200 – £1100 (only £1400 for a double set), with various package deals to choose from. Not really sure you want a package? – No problem, consider choosing from a variety of individual exercises priced at no more than £50 – £100 each.
There’s now a viable opportunity to learn OSCE skills the smart way with OSCEsmart  providing individually tailored training plans and constructive feedback!
